Welcome to the very first issue of Rowlett Roundup! I’m Kareem, and I’m so excited to kick off this journey with you. This newsletter is all about keeping our community connected by sharing upcoming events, live music, and family-friendly fun happening right here in Rowlett, TX.
Since this is the first issue, it’s very much a work in progress. Over time, I plan to add more details, features, and ways to keep you in the loop about everything going on in our amazing town. Your feedback is super important to me, so don’t hesitate to let me know what you’d like to see in future issues!

📚 Library Updates
Early Closing: The Rowlett Public Library will close at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, November 27.
Holiday Closures: The library will be closed on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29 for Thanksgiving.
Winter Reading Program: Ongoing from November 23, 2024 to January 4, 2025. Read for 30 minutes to earn chances to win prizes!
Free Online Tutoring at the Library! 📚✨
Need a little extra academic support? The Rowlett Library offers free online tutoring to help students and parents alike! From writing research papers to SAT/PSAT prep, skills assessments, and flashcards, they’ve got you covered. Make learning easier and more accessible. Visit the Rowlett Library today for more details!
🚧 Road Closure: Martin Drive

Martin Drive between Coyle Street and Main Street will be closed to traffic. Plan alternate routes.

Stay informed and engaged! Regular City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, with Work Sessions, if needed, taking place the Monday before.
